For over eight years, I’ve been lecturing predominantly post-grad students at the London College of Communication and the French Media School in a course called “Creative Persuasion”. It was aimed at media, communications studies and journalists but I decided to give it up after lockdown.

Below you’ll get a gist of what the lectures encompassed, though I have removed the lecture notes. My intention is to turn these lectures into a series of sharp and to-the-point podcasts at some point.

VOTED BY STUDENTS AS BEST LECTURER FOR 2013/2014 & 2017/2018 ACADEMIC YEARS

I see our role as tutors, not to indoctrinate, but to push students to think widely and critically for themselves.

My belief and experience is that students of communications require a broad understanding of the world and opinions around them – but also a deep grounding in the principles and techniques of past communication research and methods. Armed with this, they will be prepared to form new strategies that will have a better chance to work effectively today.
